I frequently tow my 10 year old daughter, both of us in 18 ft greenland style boats. I started going this as emergency practice since the boat was too big for my daughter and sudden storms would blow her out of control.
I do it still because I like to paddle further than she can go and still have fun.
It works great on the local lakes. Choppy, windy rough conditions at the worst. Your conditions sound much different. Why are you towing?
