: I'm hoping to start my next boat in the next week or 2. I'll be
: building at TechShop, an open access shop. I may have to move my
: boat around the shop while stripping. Definitely not a good
: idea, but how much of a bad idea is it? I can carefully re-level
: everything each time it might be moved. I guess I could build a
: super rigid movable cart for my strongback, but that seems like
: a lot of trouble & expense for maybe not much benefit.
: Thoughts??
: Thanks!
Not a big deal. I move strip projects all the time. Just glue the frames to the strong back nice and sturdy and you can move it all you like. I shipped a kayak unglassed and still on the strong back over 2000 miles. Just wrapped it in plastic and stuck it on top of all my stuff in the shipping container. I'm actually about to move one out to the porch now for planing and sanding.
