Curious if anyone has ever used cork-rubber gasket material for hatch seals?
You can get sheets/rolls of the stuff at most any auto part store in varying thicknesses and sizes. Used for things like valve cover or oil pan gaskets.
I know people like to use the closed cell weather stripping for this purpose..
I didn't mold in a channel like I should have when building the lip. I guess I didn't thoroughly do my homework on that one :(
I'm having a fair bit of trouble making the curve around the corners of my hatch cutouts smoothly with that stuff and it doesn't stick very well...
Was thinking maybe a cork-rubber sheet that I could cut out a continuous ring to fit the hatch lip might be a thought?
