: I went with the Yost-style, double-ringed coaming and it worked out
: fine. I stapled the skin to the topside of the bottom ring -
: instead of wrapping the skin under the ring and stapling
: underneath. Then I ran a bead of Marine Goop on top of that and
: then screwed the top ring to the bottom. I put the screws up
: through the bottom and into the top. This way they are hidden
: from view.

Thanks again everyone. I think I will go yost style just for peace of mind. I do have a bad habit of entering with my hands on the coaming as opposed to the gunwhale tops.
