Thanks all for the advice.
It was quite never racking but I cut the cockpit hole last night. The hardest part was figuring out which tool to use for the job.
The Dremel router would wander all over the place.
The blade I had for the copeing saw was too cores.
The ezacto saw blade was to slow and I bent it after an inch.
I found the best tool for the job was a Japanese razor saw which once started pretty much guided it's self around the opening with some help...
I encountered two reactively minor problems. One was a crack opened up in the middle of the deck where I had not used enough glue. The other was sweat staining the Red wood. Every time a drop of sweat gets on the wood it creates a dark spot that will need sanded out. on the hull, witch is all ready glassed, their is one spot that looks like a water drop on the wood from sweat.
Besides added strength I don't see any real advantages of building the combing before glassing and It looks like it will only cause problems in the wet out. So I am planing on glassing it breaking it free from the forms glassing the inside then building the combing. I may build it be for glassing the inside while I am scraping it to kill two birds with one stone...
