I apply the resin by pouring it on the boat in sections, spreading it with a squeegie and then rolling out to make even. It does make bubbles but dragging a brush through slowly, gets rid of most of them. Sanding will get rid of small bumbs or pits. Maybe the heat was too hot and the resin was heating up/curing too fast. This can cause bubbles as well as the heat generated by the exothermal reaction gets too hot. Air needs to rise to surface and dissipate, but maybe could not if curing too fast.
