Hi friends;
I'm finally thinking seriously about my next (2d) build, and am looking for a design that is good for all around but especially good at surfing and rock play. I'm looking for a design displacement of about 190 lbs. Ilove my Night Heron for all around, but its displacement is 225 lbs, so with my body/boat combined weight of 190, I don't do so great surfing it (though a lot of the lack is definitely in my minimal skills).
Boat suggestions? What features to look for? harder chines aft of cockpit? Planing hull or no? I am also open to a S&G or hybrid.
Thanks for any input.
