: displacement of about 190 lbs. Ilove my Night Heron for all
: around, but its displacement is 225 lbs, so with my body/boat
: combined weight of 190, I don't do so great surfing it (though a
: lot of the lack is definitely in my minimal skills).

: Boat suggestions? What features to look for? harder chines aft of
: cockpit? Planing hull or no? I am also open to a S&G or hybrid.

Another thought is just wait about 10 years and you will proably be closer to the 225 lb target displacement.
