: My daughther and I just went looking for whales in my Point Bennett
: double and saw a whale six times. As you can see, I like to sit
: up front to make whoever is in the back follow my cadence and
: corrective strokes. On the paddle back, it got rough out there,
: and Nicole did a great job helping me control the double with
: sweep and rudder strokes. It sure is fast and fun! But doubles
: are a different beast to control in wind and waves. I remember
: cranking on the rudder a lot when I had a Northwest Seascape
: double. The Point Bennett double can be a lot of work to control
: too. I just bought a rudder to install on it and will have the
: control pedals in the front cockpit. Surfski racing has me
: loving rudders so much nowadays, I'm even installing one on my
: Point Bennett single now, making a versatile kayak that much
: more versatile.
