Pity we are not closer, I always wanted to make a bandsaw into a rig to cut planks from tree trunks. Commercial ones are more than I want to pay, since I only once in a while come across a tree where it would work and I can have. I made a jig for my chainsaw, but couldn't get a ripping chain last time I wanted. wasted lots of money on crosscut chains.
Sorry to hear that - nothing current could be adapted? I assume this is the guard for the exposed saw blade when you raise the upper guide.
Actually I added an extension to my Delta to get more height and have the old guard I will never use. I'd have to find it, if there was any chance it could be made to fit.
If you post a picture we could compare.

: Yes there is and I went there but the part isn't available. So now
: I have a bandsaw that is inoperable because of a broken slide
: bracket assembly. Checked with a local tig welding and
: fabrication shop but too costly to make. Thanks for the help.
: We're done.
