I am onto the deck/hull fitting of my [first] Petrel build now.I stripped all of my hull parrallel to the sheerline and used very narrow strips running along the chine line.6 mm wide and I also made them somewhat thicker than the normal strips along with "mitre ing them [beveling] to close any gaps on the inside.The outside radius after fairing would be about 10mm [no sharp corner].I used thicker strips here to make sure I had enough beef to remove in the fairing process but if your'e a better joiner than me I don't think that is needed.The deck also has a chine which I struggled with because I chose to strip from the shear line inwards on the fore deck so having to twist the 12 mm wide strips over the chine area.All of my deck strips turned out to be about half inch wide to get over some of the twists and contours.
