I feel the same way, Rob but I sometimes need to sound it out with words. A lifetime of writing about what we do should suffice to help outsiders understand why we do what we do. I heard comments from folks all of my life as a long distance runner...they kept asking me why I ran so far (up to 52-kms in 5 hrs once)...I told them they weren't looking too closely at who was chasing me: bill collectors. Hee! Hee! Why ask why if you can start doing it yourself to find out the answers for yourself.
