Thanks! The seat is minicell foam, less than 3 ounces. The strips are 3/16 northern white about 2/3 of it and western red about 1/3, the gunnels are cherry, and there is some Baltic birch in the breasthooks. 4 oz glass with an expedition layer. No floatation bags, I am kicking an idea around in my head of a cedar cleat that would hold a loop of nylon webbing bonded in a couple of locations on the bilge fore and aft. These would hold some dry bags to the bilge and hence use the cargo to provide floatation. Sounds really great in theory, in practice.... ?
