: Very interesting test you have. I am always looking for a new and
: exciting concept for my boats.
: I would like to hear your next test results. Although I think it

Hello Robert,

Thanks, glad I interested someone! I did take pictures but honestly I am so swamped I haven't even been able to download them yet. In order to get the pinstripe to peel up I had to dig with an exacto knife and cut the fiberglass along the line, then pry it up. Once I got it started I could peel it up, but (a) the pinstripe is only 1/8" so I don't think it's going to be a huge deal, and (b) it was so hard to get up that I really don't think it's going to delam. It looks amazing being under the glass, and I am going to go for it either way and worst case scenario I can fix it pretty easily if down the road there are any issues. I have done inlays that in order to strengthen the abalone that I use for inlays I put masking tape on the back of it, and I have always just glued it into the recess masking tape and all, and over four years now not one has delaminated, so I am not too worried about this one too much. I'm happy just to know the epoxy sticks to the outside, and believe me when I say it sticks I mean I couldn't get it off the cloth part.
