: I am starting to build an 11 foot SUP using a triangular strip
: wooden rail system. Just wanted to know how difficult it is to
: round them out by hand. I know some people have done this using
: 1/4 by 1/4 inch strips like we build kayaks. Has anyone have any
: insight into this area. Also I hope to fill the board with foam
: so I don't have to worry about the board inflating in the sun. I
: am not sure what foam to use or where to get it. If anyone has
: made such a board I would love to see it. Thanks Joe
Foam in quantity is surprisingly heavy and most is open cell so it won't trap air. It'll mostly just add weight and floation, but won't keep the board from expanding with heat.
