I want to buy a hand-held GPS for kayaking and motorboating and need your suggestions on what brand and model to purchase. Nothing fancy. I just need to know where I am when kayaking, and be able to obtain maps that show reefs and other underwater obstructions/structures. Route tracking is good too. I've never used a GPS myself before. What do you recommend?

My wife is in the U.S. now and can buy locally or via internet.
