All I meant was the seal coat was not needed, since you will not be looking
at the hull/deck interior, the lay-up need not be totally transparent to
be okay. So, no problem between your seal coat and glass.

However, the fact that you used a seal coat eliminates the wood as a suspect
in starving the glass.

I think what happened was after you squeegeed it looked fine.

When you used the boat and got moisture, whether water or condensation,
the uncoated tip tops of the glass fibers revealed themselves as white/uncoated.

Epoxy is really very weird stuff. It could have settled lower in the glass matrix
after you squeegeed it, over the time it took to set-up.

Did you use a stiff squeegee? I use plastic milk carton, for squeegees, although I did find
a very soft edge one at my marine supplier recently.
