: OK, took my Bluefin with newly installed Harmony / WS thigh braces
: out. They worked well. I had posted the pic last week, with the
: white painted hull, and varnished deck. I thought I had read all
: of the relevant material on hull painting, on the CLC site.

: So, I got the usual dirty lakewater stains along the waterline, and
: up onto the deck, from edging. Before I even took the boat out
: of the water, I sponged off. All of the stains on the varnish
: came off, as I've been used to. But, most of the stains on the
: paint did not want to come off!

: Now what? Was I supposed to have applied a wax or sealer to the
: paint? How best to get the stains off without damaging the
: paint? I suspect a bleach solution might take off the stains,
: but, I've heard it's not good for paint, over time, at least
: with regard to house paint.

: BTW, I did to a light application of epoxy in the hatches, and it
: took care of the discoloration I had shown. I think it was due
: to frictional wear on the original light epoxy and glass, as I
: had transported the boat with the mostly-inflated flotation bags
: inside, with no hatch covers... thus wind buffeting.

Couple of questions, how long after putting the epoxy on did you paint it? How long did the paint set up before you used it?
