OK, soap would not dent it. But, Simple Green worked. Nice. I've rarely had call to use the stuff, but, the times I have, it's been a life saver.

So, yea, I'm more inclined to wax it. Malcolm suggested clear coat. But, I'm not good at finish and finesse in the first place, much less after my masking has been removed, and fittings installed (the paint wraps onto the deck, where it meets varnish).

I guess I missed the memo that may have said that polyurethane marine paint would be more trouble than varnish, to maintain in everyday use.

: Have you tried washing it with something stronger than plain water?
: Try dish washing liquid and water or if that doesn't work, try
: something like Simple Green. Waxing afterward might help to
