: I'm almost finished with the hull and deck on my Night Heron, and
: am fitting the the cockpit recess, grrrrr. At any rate, soon
: I'll be fiberglassing. My problem is I don't have a place to
: fiberglass the boat at home, so I have to transport it about 40
: miles to my friend's shop. Since I built it with 3/16" c
: & b, it's fairly fragile before I get it fiberglassed. Any
: suggestions on safely transporting it? Thanks, Jack
It is stronger than you think. I shipped mine (unglassed) thousands of miles on the strongback stuck on top of all my stuff in a shipping container. Just keep it on the strongback and wrap it tightly with plastic wrap. Use J Cradles or a trailer. Should be fine.
