Another shop use for the kitchen microwave: I've occasionally heated up mixed epoxy for 12-seconds to lower the viscosity when wetting out fiberglass cloth. I hope I'm not adversely altering the physical properties of the epoxy but it certainly helps penetrate the fabric.
