I second everything said, my wife is extremely sensitive to smells, she does not complain about epoxy (West) smells in an attached Garage.
However, she does notice paint thinner/ mineral spirits for cleaning.
Respirator - no possible way, I don't think there is an issue. I have a much worse and immediate problem with cedar sawdust.
Heat your resin and catalyst to 90f to have a better time with coating and glassing. I use a heating pad under the cans on Medium.
