Or, get a handful of used computer fans for free from the local computer place, mount them in a piece of plywood sized to the window opening ( partly open will do), and run them (they are 12 volts) off a battery charger that you have hanging around. Fan suction works extremely well, as pointed out by others. Our house is quite tight, and when I did my kayak two winters ago, smells from the epoxy and solvents I used was never detectable in the house. The computer fans use negligible electricity, so I didn't mind leaving them on for days at a time.
