Just wanted to say thanks for the good thoughts. Much of what I was able to add to Sterlings knowledge was gleaned right here on this forum.
Most of the communication is going at "Sterlings Kayaks" Facebook page, or my own "Reg Lake".
Molds and work benches were started yesterday by others in our community. Again thanks.
Below is copy of what Marsha, Sterlings wife posted this morning.
Sterlings Kayaks
Hello All,
We feel so privileged to be a part of this community, it is one of those special times in life to hold close, watching a group of friends and kind, interested people give so freely of themselves. Every prayer, encouraging word and action is lifting us up and we are being enriched by this experience.
From Marsha's perspective: Sterling called and told me the shop was up in flames and we were losing everything, clearly upset and clearly worried about me! Our business employs Sterling, my son-in-law, Ryan and Steve a great friend and of course Reg Lake is often at the shop working with us. The loss of the things didn't mean anything, was everyone safe? Yes!!! Miracles and blessings! "I love you Sterling! come home as soon as you can."
We want to thank each and every one from the bottom of our hearts and let you know that this bump in life's journey and the outpouring of your kindness just encourages us to pursue our passions, that special enjoyment of listening to our customers and friends using their input along with Reg's and Sterling's unique gifts to pursue the adventure of the next best kayak and delivering safe paddling for all who visit Sterling.
I am always thankful that Sterling has the opportunity to develop kayaks and offer the service at the shop. It is such a gift when you get to work in the area that matches the way your brain functions and allows you to fulfill who you are, Sterling likes to serve others with his special technical, mechanical, craftsman style gifts, he loves a job well done and the satisfaction of enjoying that with his customers. I love that in spite of things that have made life a challenge Sterling can do what he loves and as a bonus Reg Lake comes into the shop and adds so much to our lives.
God has always been so good to us and at this time we find ourselves surrounded by His peace and hope. We see His hand at work each day as people continue to amaze us with their right on meeting of our needs, it is a very touching awe inspiring experience. We will keep you all posted with the progress of our rebuild. We appreciate all of you so much, thank you and God bless you, Marsha & Sterling
