Is the screen really "touch" sensitive? The touch sensitive type would not be glass surely but a flexible plastic. If it's glass it doesn't actually need pressure or even contact as it senses by capacitance. If that's the case then it won't hurt to stiffen it up with epoxy, but I would still prefer wrapping tape for appearance . . .
