: Those are too stiff. They'll likely damage your glass. Going to an
: auto parts store and getting auto body filler spreaders is just
: about as cheap, and it's the right tool for the job. The 3M
: Dynatron ones are noticeably different from the generics.
: They're more supple, and you have more control, and the dried
: epoxy comes off from them easier. You flex the spreader, it
: cracks the epoxy, you peel it off cleanly. The plastic ones for
: drywall and spackling don't flex and the epoxy will stick to
: them.

: I am not endorsing the supplier, the price is not listed. It's
: simply a link with a photo and description. You can probably
: find them at your local auto parts store or painter's supply
: store just as easily. Here I can buy singles of any size loose
: instead of in a blister pack for about the same price as one of
: the plastic spreaders you're talking about.

Actually the squeegies for auto body glazing putty are just about perfect made of a fairly stiff rubber that's easy to clean, but they are also somewhat expensive. Which is why I use the plastic ones for bondo, about 10% of the price.
