Bill's advice about going to your local Automotive Paint & Body Supply is a great one, I find all sorts of excellent things there. Commercial quality 3M green tape is what got me started going there (it's like blue tape, only has some stretch to it which makes it infinitely more useful). Another splendid find is foam sanding blocks, sold for wet sanding paint prep. I felt like a fool the first time I plunked down nearly $6 for one, but soon came back for more -- they're sold in varying density from hard to smooshy. I made a couple out of minicell too, for ultra-limp sanding sponges. I love 'em, and use them constantly in all my shop projects.

I always enjoy these squeegee threads, always a little astonishing to see the diversity of method among us in this nutty business.
