Were the 'targeted' ads there before?

Believe it or not, yes, they were there, just at the very top and bottom where they were easy to ignore. I don't run the BBS to make money off ads, I run the ads to help lower the cost of forum operation, so I'm going to tone them down a bit.

Also, the % of the screen that's devoted to non-thread/non-message content has shot up quite a bit.

The menu at the left is to make the forum easier to use on small screens such as smartphones and tablets. The menu on the right will contain more useful information shortly.
