This forum is one of the most civilised venues on the Internet. It is just a pleasure to interact with the people here who, while we may never meet, I consider real friends.

The folk who interact here are also able to handle gentle humour, a real plus, and I don't think I have ever noticed envy or pettiness, just encouragement and the spur to improve and raise the standard.

I think this all comes partly form everyone who visits here being creative in the extreme. Creative people tend to be too interested in what they are engrossed in to bother with altercations, needle matches and trolling.

The only possible improvement to the social mix IMO would be to have more women on board, just to get the benefit and interest of the female view.

That's me. I also think one should pause for fifteen seconds of rational thought before hitting the submit button.

I will be adding a couple of trip suggestions for my area on the trip report section, with pics, to see if I can tempt more of you guys to paddle over here sometime.
