Joy, another option to consider is having an auto-body repair shop repaint it. Modern two and three component marine urethanes (like Interlux Perfection and Awlgrip) are very similar to automotive urethanes. Sometimes they are identical. Body shops are used to working on items with complex curves and are properly equipped and trained to spray the finish. Most are used to fiberglass composites. They can also perform color matches and do other effects like metal flake and pearls. I have been having a local body shop spray my commercial builds for the past four years now (picture below from last winter: a Black Pearl headed for Ontario.). Pete sprays a complete kayak with primer through clear coats for less than $500 USD. Most smaller shops also like to take on unique projects once and a while.

Give your local body shop a call. They might surprise you.
