Re: Strip: building light weight sea kayaks
In Response To: Strip: building light weight sea kayaks (Robert Horstmann)
Thanks Allan
I bring this up because my next build will be the Mystery and I would really like to save weight on this one. Since most of the weight seems to be in the wood, bulkheads, foot pegs ect. This would be a good place to start looking to save weight. So maybe employ the bulkhead as both foot rest and float camber. I will also use small beckson inspection plates in the bulkheads instead of hatches so in a sense they serve triple duty. best rh
