Considering your assessment, using it on the inside would not be a liability regarding issues of abrasion or transparency .

Depends on the use. On my hulls I generally use a double layer of 3.2oz on the outside of the hull. Consider a second layer in the cockpit for abrasion.

I use Enropy Super Sap to wet out my cloth. Even though it's fairly viscous, thicker than MAS for example, it wets out the tight weave cloth fine. The wetting action also depends on how the actual fibers are sized (the coating applled to the glass to make the epoxy or polyester stick to the glass). I had some other tight weaver cloth that was a bear... different sizing.
