Hi Joe,
I second what Malcolm said, go for autopaint but in the small spray cans. A cartop box shouldn't take more than a few spray cans. Do use a mask and good ventilation as with other painting.
The smallest can of paint for spraygun that I've found is a half litre, about a quart, and it's not cheap. Plus thinners.
