but have read about the issue of putting to much tension on the cloth during roll out . This can cause micro fractures that result in a starring effect.

I am always surprised to see non transparent strands along the length but not the width. I hope that someone with more experience with this phenomenon will weigh in, for me it is most common problem. best rh

Hi Robert,
I wouldn't qualify as that someone with more experience, :D but could that tendency of lengthwise strands showing be caused by the fact that it is rolled in that direction and may be stressed strands (fractured)? The widthwise strands stay straight when the cloth is rolled so no damaged strands.

That's my kite, let's see if it can be shot down easily.
