True, and the Model A is a workhorse, but getting scarce. There is a guy here with an engine he would sell but VW's are my thing and the aircraft conversions have magnetos and redundant systems. I also would want floats and power to carry 50 pounds of gear.

Still a dream but there is an ultralight version of the Piet. I went so far as to buy plans of it but I would rather get certified and build a full size one. It is a very simple design. Heck, It's really a SOF kayak with wings!
