Well I flew 126,000 miles last year on airlines and similar mileage every year. The incidents I listed were hugely pilot error and akin to taking a kayak into a hurricane. I would feel safe flying but being that I was supposed to be on the plane that crashed it stopped me for a while.

Here's one that will scare you. Landing on Saba Island in the Netherland Antilles. It is the shortest commercial runway in the world and has a cliff on either end. You can see the end as we are landing.
