The restoration is the third at least he has done. The previous ones weren't complete before heading off overseas.

The neat bit was the Mosquitos were built in halves, the wiring, hydraulics, etc. fitted and then they were glued together. De Havilland had the experience of working with wood from previous planes such as the Albatross, a 4 engine airliner. Photos I have indicate cold moulding. Certainly the wings were built that way. The fuselage mould had slots in it for the bulkheads and the layers were done by hand including reinforcing around doors and hatches before the outer skin went on.

There are three books on the Mosquito here by my elbow.
