I start off cracked myself, I started woodworking as a wood floor mechanic, lay sand finish, cabinate making and musical instrument repair were natural progressions. Boat building is a new fascination, because I work in Valdez AK during the summers as a sheetmetal worker for the pipeline. Valdez is a lovely harbor that beggs you to get in a boat and go. Prince wiliam Sound however tends to have 5'seas on a regular basis so boats need to be better than ok. Current boat is a 19ft aluminum hulled lobster boat with a bit of room for fishing but no soul. I hope to do better as I know better what I want. Musical instruments are wood woth soul, My best made from scratch is a dulsomer of the Ozarks pattern, made from native cherry and ash.
