No. Apparently my planes are not sharp. Amazing. It is interesting that the Japanese work toward their bodies. It says something perhaps about the nature of different cultures and traditions. We push, they pull. Are we more aggressive, I wonder?

The Japanese seem to prefer to plane than to sand. I could definitely get behind that notion. Of course blade making and blade sharpening over there is an art going back to a time when we westeners had not yet come down from the trees.
