Skin-on-Frame: Adjustable footpegs?

I'd like to use adjustable foot braces in the kayak I'm working on at the moment. I'm fairly confident I could get the foot brace in the right place for myself, but I'd feel better if it was adjustable, plus it'd be better for my friends if they have the occasion to borrow it.

Anywho, I know this has been done before, and I've seen pre-made foot braces, so I'm wondering:
1) Any recommendations for good pre-fab foot braces?
2) Any pictures of home-made footbraces? I'm thinking maybe something involving a row of evenly-spaced tee-nuts set into the outside of the gunwale?
3) Any other thoughts?
