Nick Shades first book has a design for a homemade foot brace which is adjustable. You will have to work on some of the dimensions because what is in the book is not consistent for the "blade" you rest your feet on. Everything else works just fine.
I make these from scraps laying around - 4 sets so far.
Easy to adjust, the angle of the footrest works much better than the store bought "pegs"for me.
I do make the rope loop out of 1/8 ss rod, and use button head fasteners for the adjustment pegs instead of the wooden rack Nick designed. Next post will show the ss rod and fasteners.
