I was wondering if anyone had any alternate/better ideas on glassing the interior aspect of the significantly recurved (aprox. 12 inches) and very narrow ends of the "voyager" solo canoe I am working on. The standard?, approach that I am contemplating, is to do a seal coat to preserve uniform color tone then glass in (4 oz) a large bias cut section into the bow and stern sections, cutting back along the stems once it has started to set. Followed by glassing with 6 oz for the rest of the interior overlapping the glassed bow and stern sections. My concern is with the overlap section if I dont want to do a fully filled glass finish on the interior. Even if I do a tidy job with masking and cutting the second glass application I don't think the transition will look very good.
