I was wondering if anyone had any alternate/better ideas on glassing the interior aspect of the significantly recurved (aprox. 12 inches) and very narrow ends of the "voyager" solo canoe I am working on.

I don't seal coat interior glass since you won't see any difference because the glass won't be filled and sanded smooth.

Lay your glass in the hull first. At the stems press ONE SIDE of the glass into the stem as far as possible and drag a pencil point up the stem joint. The glass fibers will be displaced in the weave and you will easily see where to cut the glass. Do the other side. Now your glass will fit right up to the interior stem seam. Wet out your glass and finish the stem joint with a fillet of thickened epoxy. If you wish you can add a bais cut strip of seam reinforcement.

It's difficult to make it look perfect. I tell anyone looking at my stems, "Hey you should be paddling and NOT looking down there anyway".

But if it doesn't look good, I make it a DESIGN FEATURE and hide it with a curved panel and call it an air tank! But that's a whole nuther piece of work. See photo below.
