Want to maintain some chance of flexing in the hull and not have a hard spot. I have found 5200 to hold very well but I guess my concern is sitting on the rear deck and it holding my weight.
Also,
You are right that 1" could flex in the middle and pull away. Didn't think of that.
3" it will be..thanks
