Slightly off-topic:
It's a good idea to avoid silicone-containing waxes and cleaner/polishing compounds.
Most of the automotive products for the 'consumer market' seem to contain silicone; you need to look at the fine print for non-silicone.
Silicone in the wax means a few extra prep steps before you do any touch-ups or re-varnish, or you'll get 'fish-eye' problems and beading. (You need to clean off any wax, silicone is just more persistent.....)

BTW, Interlux Fiberglass Prep seems to be a great product for removing wax/silicone. It combines an abrasive and detergent. (I used it on a recent project, when re-painting a waxed glass boat.) The usual 'methods' using solvent washes move the silicone around, though you can get there eventually.
