Every year I think more and more about the Carolinas. I go through the same thing.

I'm already in the Carolina's (S) and I'm here for 4 months, Jan - April. I'm able to make a kayak during that time (OOC Cirrus this time) and also get in some kayaking. Just have to watch for the gators and snakes on the rivers. Some even go into brackish water in the salt creeks. Upstate NY in the summer and fall.
