Lake of the Ozarks and Bull Shoals- two gorgeous places. I used to go there often when I lived in the states. I also visited Land Between the Lakes often (Kentucky Lake). They are all gorgeous. Mountain View and Mountain Home, AR are both a great location near the Bull Shoals dam but very isolated. (For me that's a good thing). Basically all of these locations are awesome places to live- low cost of living, lots of outdoors activities- but if anyone is used to being near all the amenities of the city it might be a bit different. I have a funny feeling Bill isn't the kind of guy that needs all the amenities of the city, but just something worth mentioning. :-)

The only issue I have with Kentucky Lake is the boaters. Lots of bass boats with 150hp up motors zipping around. Bull Shoals for whatever reason seems more docile, although those types of folks are always bound to show up and ruin the party. Fair to say I haven't been there in years and maybe things have changed, but I doubt it.

Bill if you're reading this, did you consider the east coast- G.eorgia, Virginia, North/South Carolina? Lots of water, good cost of living, great areas to live.
