No. Bend the squeegee so the ends face upward a little and the middle bulges down. This helps but more important, wait for the epoxy to set up enough that you do not leave grooves withthe tips of the squeegee. A brush would not move anything at this point
Thin fill coats do not even need squeegeed if placed over a smooth Surface. Thick coats cause runs, drips and sags.
