Finally gearing up for my build of a SOF Rangeley design and and planning to use cypress stringers with a 12oz balistic nylon skin. I plan to use off white tinted Zar for the skin, but would like opinions on the coating for the stringers. On my last SOF build, which used Radiata pine stringers, I sprayed the entire frame with a few thin coats of water based poly which was quick, cheap and easy and has held up well. Should I do this again?
