Everybody above is right. Without a clean room you have dust issues. I will clean the shop and run a hepa filter for a day, then turn off the fan and let all the dust settle for a couple days. When varnishing i move nothing and touch nothing. I will have only clean materials at hand needed for the varnishing. Once varnished i leave the shop until the next day. No peaking and creating air currents to stir dust.

Or, lay clean tarp in the living room and varnish inside my always meticulously clean home. It works great.
